“Is YouTube seeing what Amazon is doing and trying to be like, oh, we should be playing over in this space? Yes. They’re very early in their shoppable video experiments. My biggest obstacle for them is, they do not have the monetization elements that Amazon has. Shelly can put up a video on Amazon and she’s getting affiliate revenue every time a product gets sold. YouTube does not have that yet and that will be its biggest blocker from competing with Amazon.”
