Gwen Miller:

“Maybe we don’t do a subscribe CTA anymore. We know that YouTube places very little importance on whether you’re subscribed to something on whether they’re going to show you another piece of content from that channel. There are much more going off of how you watch and what you click on. So do you get more bang for your buck instead of asking people to subscribe, asking them to click on another video and watch more of your content? So the algorithm is like, oh, they will click and watch this channel. Let us show it to them again.”
