I wanted to let you know why I personally am working during the coronavirus crisis.
We are clearly living through a very difficult time for our families, our friends, and society as a whole. For my part, I’ve been “social distancing” at home for more than two weeks so far, and feeling fine physically. But frankly I have had ups and downs emotionally with worrying about family, friends, and our society as a whole.
But a few days ago I came to a realization about why I do what I do, and why I’ve decided to keep doing this during this very difficult time for us both personally and economically.
I realized that really, my mission hasn’t changed. I’ve always thought of myself as someone who is here to help people, and my way of choosing to do that in the world is largely through helping businesses help their customers through YouTube.
I realized that even during this time when the economy frankly sucks, the business skill of knowing how to communicate via YouTube still holds up. And whether your business is doing great or not, these skills can be helpful to learn now for after this dark period is over. But even now, you may still be able to sell something, communicate what you know how to do, and help your customers through YouTube. This might not bring in a ton of business right away, but could lead to business later.
So I decided that this is something I can do now, and even if I just help one business stay in business, one family stick it out in a tough economy, or just even keep you company during a difficult time and try to be productive, that’s what I’m going to do.
